Refund & Cancellation Policy

Plans change — here's how cancellations, weather, and refunds work.
Cancellations by you
- More than 24 hours before the tour — full refund.
- Less than 24 hours before the tour — non-refundable, as we will likely have turned other guests away to hold your spot.
- No-shows — non-refundable.
To cancel, email info@scribersadventures.com or WhatsApp +1 (664) 492-2943. The time of cancellation is when we receive your message.
Cancellations by us
If we have to cancel a tour — for example because of weather, volcanic advisories, road closures, or a guide being unwell — we will offer you, at your choice:
- A full refund of the amount paid, or
- Rescheduling to another date that works for you, or
- Credit toward another tour with us.
Weather
Light rain is part of life in the tropics and tours usually go ahead. If conditions become unsafe (heavy rain, thunderstorms, flash flood risk, hurricane warnings), we will contact you as early as possible and offer the options above. We cannot refund or reschedule because of weather you simply didn't enjoy if the tour went ahead safely.
Cruise visitors
If your cruise ship cancels its call at Montserrat or arrives too late for the tour to run, you will receive a full refund on confirmation from the cruise line or port authority.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are issued back to the original payment card via our payment processor (Stripe) and usually arrive within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Changes to your booking
Need to change the date, time, or number of guests? Get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate, subject to availability. Changes made less than 24 hours before the tour may be treated as a cancellation under the rules above.
